Information gathering
GadgetMe logs IP addresses ("Internet Protocol" address or internet location) to identify: (1) usage levels of specific areas of our site; (2) origin of our site's audience; and, (3) browser and operating system of site visitors. We do not associate IP addresses to individuals. As such, visitor sessions will be tracked through standard web server (Apache) log files and cookies that are stored on the client-side (or users computer)
GadgetMe logs search terms entered into the search form (as on homepage). This data is not associated with individual visitors.
Other than information provided by subscribers via e-mail, GadgetMe collects personally identifiable information (e.g., name, email, address) of subscribers and stores the information in a database on the GadgetMe server, hosted by phpwebhosting.com. This information is only shared with those companies you request it to be shared with.
Use of information
GadgetMe uses the information described above to tailor content to visitors, ensure broad access to our site regardless of software, monitor site performance and generate aggregate statistical reports. At no time do we disclose site usage by individual IP address. From time to time, GadgetMe will use this personal information to notify you about website changes, special advertising deals with partners and changes in our privacy policy.GadgetMe will not sell personal information, including, but not limited to your opt-in e-mail address information.
GadgetMe does not provide or sell any personally identifiable information to outside entities. We do share personally identifiable information (e.g., name, email, address) of contest winners only with specific prize donors . Additionally, GadgetMe also shares indentifiable information of members that have "opted-in" to receive information from outside companies. This option can be changed within your member profile.
Cookies
GadgetMe may set and access GadgetMe cookies on your computer. Advertisers or other companies do not have access to GadgetMe's cookies. The cookie information is used to store you subscriber login and password. This cookie expires once you exit the browser.
Security
This site does not have security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of data collected.
