Here's some free Blackberries for you--along the Snake River in Idaho.
In case you are not aware, Google makes it possible to create a moblog (mobile blog) on the fly using your mobile phone. All you have to do is text content, including graphics, if you choose, to go@blogger.com. Google will automatically create a moblog site for you and send back a confirmation with an assigned blogsite, which you can change later. They also issue you a code to claim and validate your site.
I find this intriguing having started a new blog on SMS or text messaging. Check it out at http://synergetics-sms.blogspot.com/.
We are also about to lauch a belated departure of our annual summer sojourn during which we travel around the U.S., Canada, and Mexico on a road trip of 10,000-15,000 miles. Along the way, I test a variety of software, hardware, and accessories that helps me to keep productive, entertained, and connected.
Accordingly, I thought it would be fun to take advantage of Google's moblog basically for friends and family. My idea was that I could snap a quick picture on my phone with a brief description to chronicle the trip and let folks know about some of our adventures and progress along the way.
I was able to set up the account just fine. Everything went according to plan. Google created my site as promised, and I was enthusiastic about the prospects. However, after the initial post, I am no longer able to make further contributions with my phone. Whenever I try, I get a message from AT&T that I have used an illegal address, which is the address that Google gave me. I blame if on AT&T, but who knows.
Anyway, I have decided to continue with it using my laptop until I can figure out the problem.
If you would like to pay Tim's Moblog a visit, please do. You can do so by going to http://tshphdmoblog.blogspot.com/. Don't expect anything spectacular. It's not meant for public consumption. But, if you have any suggestions on how to fix the problem of not being able to post with a mobile phone, please share your experiences.
I'll be discussing some of the toys I've taken for testing. Today I gave me first impressions of the Mio Digi/Walker c520 from www.buygpsnow.com, and it's a beaut. I think I decided that as we passed through Butte, Montana. BuyGPSnow, by the way, is an amazing place to visit with some incredible values and all the latest technology to get you where you want to go.
